July 2017 Describes the main options proposed by MVDC for their Local Plan and the consultation that is planned for July-August.  MVDC announces a forthcoming consultation on the strategic options for meeting the projected demand for housing.
June 2017 Announces the positive result of the referendum held on our plan.  MVDC Executive Committee gives final stamp of approval on our plan and adopts it as part of their planning policy set.
May 2017 Asks all residents to vote in the referendum on 4th May.  Referendum held on 4th May results in 92% in favour of our NDP.
April 2017 Explains why we need a Neighbourhood Plan.  ACV Newsletter delivered to every household, explaining the content of the NDP.
March 2017 Talks about some of the local infrastructure issues mentioned in our Plan.
February 2017 Explains the pressure on housing in Surrey and the reasoning behind our proposed Housing policies. The Spring 2017 edition of Ashtead Village News carries an article about the planned referendum on our NDP.

December 2016 Announces the approval of our NDP by the independent inspector.
November 2016 clarifies the correlation between the production by MVDC of a new Local Plan and our NDP.  The Autumn 2016 edition of Ashtead Village News carries an article about the plans for a new Local Plan
October 2016 sets out our plans for a number of articles addressing the concerns raised during the MVDC consultation.  MVDC calls for proposals for “brownfield sites” capable of providing 5 or more dwellings, as part of the process of creating a new Local Plan.
September 2016 describes the context and criteria for the review of our plan by an independent examiner.  MVDC publishes its plans for the creation of a new Local Plan by Autumn 2018.
August 2016 describes the steps that will follow the completion of the council consultation.
July 2016 gives further information about the council consultation process.  Mole Valley District Council sends a letter to every Ashtead resident and business informing them of the consultation starting 24th June through to 5th August.

 October 2014 described the inventory of Ashtead resources that will identify current shortcomings and future needs.
 September 2014 talked about the ongoing process for developing the vision statement at the core of the future Neighbourhood Development Plan.  The ARA News for Autumn 2014 carried an article about the development of a Vision Statement by ACV and also an article about planning issues.
 The article that appeared in the August edition was incorrect, being a duplicate of that published in November 2013. The correct article is HERE which talks about developing a vision for Ashtead.
